We are once again late on updating our blog, but better late than never!
The fishing is still great here at Telegraph Cove! lots of pinks are coming in, and we are still seeing the occasional 30 lb spring.
Our annual craft fair at the beggining of this month was a little slower than other years, but never the less, a beautiful day, and full of tourists eager to spend their money!
The fishing derby was a huge success, the biggest fish caught, was in the childs division, a 29 LB spring by Miss. Kindall Marshall. Mr. Sims was our derby winner in the main catagory, with a 28 Lb spring! With more than 150 entrys, Telegraph Cove Resort will once again be donating $10,000 to the Kokish Hatchery for the salmon enhancment. So thank you to everyone who donated, a job very well done!
The season is getting a little quieter, people are starting to go home from their summer vacations, most with their full limit of fish!
The whales have still been active, out for everyone to see, even in front on the cove quite a bit this season! Lots of Pacific white sided dolphins and Minke whales.
Our weather hasnt failed to impress locals and tourists, sunshine most days and the occasional fog that will burn off in the afternoon. Although a little rain certainly wouldnt hurt due to the campfire ban that is still in affect.
Keep your fingures crossed that the fishing will be just as good, if not better for us next year, but we will try and keep up with our blogging before the seasons end.
Happy fishing!
