Fishing Report:

Springs are beginning to show at the backside of Malcolm Island, and halibut fishing is still productive. Crabbing is good, prawnfishing is spotty.

Whales & Wildlife Sightings (courtesy of Stubbs Island Whale Watching):

Dall's porpoises, harbour porpoises, and steller sea lions are commonly sighted. Birds sighted June 2nd include the rhinocerous auklets, harlequin ducks, bald eagles, belted kingfishers, scoters and cormorants.

Around the resort: watch for resident bald eagles (look up!), mink on the docks and shore, black bears on the road in, bald eagles at the sea soil site, and moose around the bottom of the Tsalton Hill late evenings.
